Slipknot DJ breaks heels, everyone writes about it

Slipknot Purgatory Masks Thrash Hits

DJ Sid Wilson of Slipknot has broken both of his heels during the very first show on the Mayhem Festival tour on July 9 in Auburn, Washington.

Firstly, that sounds awfully painful. Secondly, he has to wear plaster casts on both his legs. Thirdly and most amazingly, however, Wilson or #0, to give his stagename, has vowed to complete the tour from a wheelchair.

One would presume he won’t be doing any jumps from there, but you never know with the man casually referred to as Psychosocial Sid. He’s being called that because Slipknot’s latest single was called ‘Psychosocial’. It’s genius.

The filming of the video to ‘Pyschosocial’ was delayed because Wilson knocked himself out on a door at home. Interestingly, the video will be released on Friday, 18 July 2008. What great timing.

Have a look at this photo of Sid Wilson in his new Slipknot mask. Do you reckon he looks like a camp robot trapped in a tea garden? He can’t hurt himself in there can he? They probably don’t have wheelchair access either though.

Sid Wilson (0) Turntables

All Hope Is Gone will be released on 25 August 2008 on Roadrunner Records

Reminds me of the begining when they first came about and i read about these crazy fools practicing in the garage with the heaters going everyday and then off to tour for like a year straight throats bleeding, smacking heads and finishing the concert bleeding and needing stitches… Slipknot… that’s all that needs to be said…

[...] DJ Sid Wilson (#0, FYI) was the least likely to grab the headlines but grab them he did. Just as he broke his heels onstage last year, the youngest member of the band wowed the crowds by jumping off balconies into the moshpit. WTF [...]
