My Vitriol, pictured here in a Melody Maker poster, have released details about a November tour and a double-album possibly planned for release at the same time.

Thrash Hits .com spoke to drummer Ravi Kesavaram at Offset Festival in Hainault Forest, Essex, and he said the band is “planning on releasing a double-album later this year” while frontman Som Wardner confirmed onstage, during a triumphant headline set, that My Vitriol will be touring in November.

After releasing their only album so far, Finelines, in March 2001, the London quartet’s long-awaited second album has been dubbed by some as the UK’s answer to The Chinese Democracy, and we’re definitely looking forward to hearing it.

Astoria would be great, especially if it turned out to be the last gig I ever saw there before the bulldozers move in!
