2008 into 2009: Bring Me The Horizon

Matt Kean, bassist for Britain’s hottest deathcore outfit, Bring Me The Horizon, took a couple of minutes to talk about his rather uneventful year. Clearly, after a solid stint of touring, he just wants to go home. Bless.

What was your highlight of 2008?
Playing the Warped Tour in the USA.

What’s the worst thing that happened to you in 2008?
Nothing really! I think I lost my wallet half way through the year but that’s about it!

Who in 2008 deserves a good kicking?
Cristiano Ronaldo.

Who had the best comeback: Metallica, AC/DC, or Guns N’ Roses?
I think AC/DC they kept their old sound, the sound that you associate with AC/DC and that’s what people want!

What are you most looking forward to in 2009?
Touring all the places we have never been before like Japan and South Asia and going back to places like Australia!

What band should everyone find out about in 2009?
Dead Swans.

What do you want for Christmas?
I’m not too bothered as long as I get to go home!

Who do you want to get under the mistletoe?
My girlfriend.
