Daniel Wright is vocalist and guitarist with up-and-coming Berkshire pop-punks, DissolvedIN. They’ve had a good second half of the year and 2009 could be a very good year for them so read on!
What was your highlight of 2008?
Sharing the stage with Fightstar, Story of the year, Atreyu and touring with Finch, To be honest 2008 has been fun. I feel that we have achieved a lot for the amount of time we have been going. Good times.
What’s the worst thing that happened to you in 2008?
1. Forgetting my hair straighteners for a 12-day tour. 2. Our van brakes broke on the way to a show in Munich, Germany, which meant we had to sit in the van for 18 hours or so while we waited for Jamie’s (bass player) dad to come rescue us. Four English guys sat in a big white van in the middle of Belgium gets quite a lot of attention. Bad times.
Who in 2008 deserves a good kicking?
Axl Rose for looking like a twat!
Who had the best comeback: Metallica, AC/DC, or Guns N’ Roses?
I guess Metallica. That’s who I have noticed the most, they have had that song ‘That Day That Never Comes’ all over TV. I swear that song is like 5 hours long!
What are you most looking forward to in 2009?
More touring. I love being on the road and hate being at home. I feel no boundaries on the road. At home I still get told to keep my room tidy.
What band should everyone find out about in 2009?
What do you want for Christmas?
Mmmm, I haven’t really thought about it. Christmas is not as exciting as it use to be. I’m all about the Christmas food – my favourite part of the day. I do need some new shoes though. Dear Santa…
Who do you want to get under the mistletoe?
My beautiful girlfriend. Or Tom Delonge. I’m not gay, but c’mon, it’s Tom Delonge!
Where will you be on New Year’s Eve?
I think I’m going to be at a party that involves a spa, hotel, free bar and a tuxedo.
