2008 into 2009: MiLLS

After drumming successfully for Cable and The Lucky Nine, Richie Mills has stepped out from behind the kit to front his own band. Bloody hell, if Dave Grohl can do it with Foo Fighters, then so can MiLLS.

What was your highlight of 2008?
Hearing Zane Lowe on Radio One telling folk waiting for a Soundgarden reunion that our band could tick a few boxes.

What’s the worst thing that happened to you in 2008?
Nearly killing my landlord’s dog in the North Downs.

Who in 2008 deserves a good kicking?
General Zod… ever since 1980.

Who had the best comeback: Metallica, AC/DC, or Guns N’ Roses?
Has to be Metallica, even though I still think they could stop a song or two at the four-minute-mark from time to time.

What are you most looking forward to in 2009?
Playing a fuckload more gigs than we did in 2008.

What band should everyone find out about in 2009?

What do you want for Christmas?
Our drummer to stop breakin’ stuff.

Who do you want to get under the mistletoe?
Alanis Morissette. Still, after all these years!

Where will you be on New Year’s Eve?
Hopefully still kissing Alanis Morissette under the mistletoe.

Fingers crossed, MiLLS will be touring a little bit harder in 2009.
