New Album Title TBC

ETA Autumn 2009

What they’re saying
Biffy have been talking to various music rags claiming that this new album will include some of the band’s “heaviest riffs to date” as well as it being “classic Biffy” because it has been influenced by both wild horses and former labelmates, The White Stripes.

They recorded demos at the start of 2008 in a farm and #5-charting single, ‘Mountains’ was the result. After finishing 15-16 tracks in a studio at the end of 2008, they will begin recording the album at the start of 2009 and there will be keyboards. The band admits that this could be worrying but were keen to reassure their fans by saying they’ve “got some cool shit”.

Thrash Hits verdict
By the end of the two-year-long Puzzle campaign Biffy played their biggest ever headline show in their native Scotland and had hit the Top 10 UK Singles Chart. Not bad work. The reason for releasing ‘Mountains’ was so that they stayed in the forefronts of their fans’ minds.

While Puzzle got to #2 in the UK Albums Chart (missing out to Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’-based melodies), we suspect they have a chart-topper on their hands here. We can not wait.
