When we caught up with Berkshire bruisers, Malefice, at the tail-end of 2008 for their end-of-year review, frontman Dale Butler had a few choice words to say about their forthcoming album:

Honestly, I’ve never been excited about anything as much in my life. We’ve created a monster! We’ve worked our fingers to the bones over the past few years to get to this point. We’re finally in the place we wanted to be, and I know with Metal Blade now in our corner we can go toe to toe with the heavyweights.

Thrash Hits verdict
Even among the alumni of the Berkshire metal scene, Malefice are something special – and when those illustrious contemporaries include The Arusha Accord, Exit 10, No Made Sense and Sylosis, that’s no mean feat. Malefice demand your attention like a drunk in charge of a bazooka – take your eye off them for even a second, and before you know it they’ll have exploded in everyone’s face. We can’t wait for this one.
