Bloodstock 2009: Enslaved, Municipal Waste and Million$Reload join the line-up

Could Bloodstock 2009 get any better? Well, yes, obviously, as there’s still the small matter of the headliners and shed loads more bands to announce. But that doesn’t stop today’s announcement that the legendary Enslaved, thrash party monsters Municipal Waste, and Irish hard rockers Million$Reload have all been added to the bill from being any less tasty.

Enslaved are yet addition to the already-strong Bloodstock line-up that can boast of their you-need-to-see-them-play-before-you-die quality, a trait they share with fellow Bloodstock 2009 bookings Satyricon, Amon Amarth, Saxon and The Haunted. If you caught our interview with Municipal Waste over Christmas, you’ll already know that there’s no-one better suited to kicking off the party to end all parties. And Million$Reload? Well, even if there’s no truth in the rumour that frontman Phil Conalane is to be the next Velvet Revolver vocalist, we’ll still be down the front for some proper rock’n’roll action.

Tickets for Bloodstock 2009 are available now from their official website. The festival once again takes place at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, from 14-16 August.
