Legendary venue, the London Astoria is facing its final night on 14 January 2009 before closing to make way for some shops and stuff while they build the Crossrail thing underneath it.

Headlining the night will be The Automatic with a host of other bands including My Vitriol, Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, The King Blues, VV Brown and Frank Turner with loads more yet to confirm.

In one last hurrah, these bands are giving the central London venue a big send-off whilst raising money for charities, Love Music, Hate Racism and Jail Guitar Doors.

Tickets cost £8 in advance or £10 on the door. GET TICKETS HERE. It’ll be worth it. Bands are onstage from 6pm–midnight with the Demolition clubnight aftershow going on ’til late.

The venue will be replaced in the future, but all the soul, character, atmosphere (you’ll never get that sweat-dripping-off-the-walls feeling again) and HISTORY will soon be lost forever so get a ticket!
