faith no more thrash hits mike patton 2008

It’s been reported today that Mike Patton has written and recorded the score to the far-from-brilliant-looking forthcoming film, Crank 2: High Voltage but they missed out the end of the press release which mentioned Mike Patton’s “highly anticipated reunion tour with Faith No More in Europe this summer”.

Thanks to The Daily Swarm for being so much more eagle-eyed than us. However, we reckon we know something they don’t…

We’ve got a tenner on Faith No More being the third Main Stage headliner at Download Festival after Slipknot and Def Leppard. It’ll be announced on Monday, 02 March 2009 and we just spent our last fiver on a round of beers in a Wetherspoon’s so you know we wouldn’t make that bet lightly.

Incidentally, Crank 2: High Voltage is released in the UK on Friday, 17 April 2009. We recommend you spend some more time with either your family or do anything else, at all, rather than go see that film.
