When punk rock queen supreme, Brody Dalle, rolled into London last month with her new band, the mean and moody Spinnerette, Thrash Hits figured it was high time someone stuck her in front of a camera to answer some serious questions. Such as “what the goddamn hell have you been up to these last six years?”
Well as it turned out, both Brody and her Spinnerette cohort (and fellow Distillers survivor), Tony Bevilacqua, had some pretty strong answers. Recorded down in the bowels of the Islington Academy, why don’t you take a moment to see what they had to say for themselves?
Watch Thrash Hits TV: Spinnerette
A few hours after Thrash Hits finished up this interview the band’s first show on British soil ended when Dalle stage-dived into the sweaty palms of several hundred demented fangirls. What happened next? A few teenage girls got flattened, and two hundred pairs of hands desperately tried to grab themselves a palmful of their idol. It was carnage – and pretty damn funny from where Thrash Hits was standing.
We’ve still got something über-cool featuring Spinnerette in the Thrash Hits pipeline – keep ‘em peeled in the coming weeks….
