No-one knows the exact situation regarding FNM's contracts outside of the people they've made them with. Did Download "misrepresent" the situation with regards to the FNM headline slot? Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. To say it was a marketing ploy - that they knew full well was a lie - is somewhat pre-emptive. Maybe FNM's contract stipulates no shows outside of the purview of Live Nation? Maybe Mike Patton & Co have gone renegade, and will end up getting sued blind for reneging on a contract?
