Mastodon aren’t playing Download Festival 2009 but they are playing some lovely, tiny club shows across the UK the week before.
The Atlantan prog metallers are preparing to run around Europe in support of Metallica, ending up at Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth in August, of course. It’s nice of them to think of us. It’s even nicer that they’re bringing fantastic psychedelic thrashers, Valient Thorr with them!
We thought Mastodon’s new album, Crack The Skye was pretty awesome when we reviewed it and, amazingly, we think it’s even better now. You should probably buy it, if you haven’t already.
