It’s the exclusive festival headline slot that everyone’s been waiting for. The fact that Faith No More have already played Brixton Academy and, in doing so, announced four more UK and Ireland dates at the end of the summer doesn’t matter right at this moment.
Sauntering onstage like a deranged cripple from a Martin Scorsese movie, heralded frontman Mike Patton demonstrated his marvellous vocal range during the humourous opener of ‘Reunited’ before the band launches into a magnificent 100-minute sequence of classic riff-fuelled hits.
They never looked back.
