And the winner of the COROT-3b “Music” Prize is….

….those Reading bruisers, Malefice. Well done lads – Dawn of Reprisal put in a late showing to win the first ever annual-ish Thrash Hits COROT-3b “Music” prize.

We launched the COROT-3b “Music” prize in celebration of The Mercury Music Prize being so fucking shit, in the form of a reader vote for the best British Rock Album of the last few months. Some of the nominees were probably released over a year ago, but we didn’t really care.

The last minute surge of votes for Dawn of Reprisal instigated a thorough investigation of the vote, to make sure that everythng was above board and proper. Well, we have to admit, we did discover some voting irregularities…except we found them on pretty much all of the top contenders. With so many people pulling a fast one, we’re not going to start disqualifying anyone. Malefice‘s victory stands!
