There’s gore-grind, there’s death metal, then there’s Cannibal Corpse. When it comes to songs about doing unspeakable things to dead bodies with power tools and/or penises, they’re pretty much the daddies. So when the guts-obsessed five-piece hammered Sheffield flat yesterday, we made sure our top photographer, Gary Wolstenholme was down at the front to capture George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher and co up close and personal.

They were very ably supported by Dying Fetus, whose latest album, Descend into Depravity, slipped through our fingers when it came to getting a review done. In short – it slays. Not quite as much as Evisceration Plague by Cannibal Corpse, granted, but almost.
