Sunday Spotify Slaylist: Nuclear Blast

Nuclear Blast Spotify Slaylist Thrash Hits

There’s no doubt about it – compiling the fourth Slaylist in our record label-themed series was the toughest yet. Why? Because Nuclear Blast have so many damn fine records available on Spotify, it was almost impossible to whittle them down to a manageable selection.

Over the last 22 years, Nuclear Blast have seen many of the great and the good of metal pass through the label. Although the German label started off primarily dealing with hardcore punk, it’s greatly expanded its remit since then, and in their substantial catalogue you can find everything from Brit neo-thrashers Sylosis and the experiemental tech-metal of Meshuggah, right on through to death-glam posing of Deathstars and Pharoah-flavoured death metal of Nile.

Spotify are still limiting new free users to their service, but since we’ve got an absolute shedload of invites anyone who hasn’t downloaded Spotify already can just send us an email and we’ll get you sorted quick-snap. Yes, we are that awesome.

We saw Behemoth play live on Friday, so they’re kinda stuck in our heads right now

As we’ve mentioned above, this week we had the rather unusual sensation of having too much to choose from for our Slaylist, as opposed to normally when we left scrabbling around for whatever we can find. We had to make some pretty br00tal cuts to keep the Slaylist managable – is there anything we missed thst you’d have kept in?
