We bring yet more Seasons Bleedings, everyone! This time we bring the something a little bit football-related. Oi! Fatty! Stop moaning about a bit of sport being in your metal and whiskey because Hamburg’s FC St Pauli are the most heavy metal football club in the world and they’ve got the Christmas decorations to prove it.

Yep, that there is some serious merchandise. If you don’t know anything about this wonderful club here are the reasons why FC St Pauli is great:

  1. The team marches out onto the pitch to the sounds of AC/DC’s ‘Hells Bells’ played live by a band on the roof of the prison over the road.
  2. Many of the team’s fans regard themselves as anti-racist, anti-fascist and anti-sexist. They are the antithesis of holligans.
  3. When St Pauli score a goal, Blur’s ‘Song 2’ blares out over the loudspeaker and a moshpit often erupts among the punks and prostitutes.
  4. I was offered three different spliffs when I watched St Pauli beat Lubeck in a local derby. Radical, etc.

If you don’t fancy wandering over to Germany to get a set from the club shop (pictured above), go visit their website. It’s so worth it. However, if those baubles are still not quite deserving of a place on your shitty tree, watch this clip from the telly. It’s great.
