What they’re saying
In a blog over on their MySpace page, Trigger The Bloodshed have spoken out about their forthcoming third album:
“So far, drums and guitars have been completely finished and are sounding the tits! Vocals are being recording as I’m writing this very blog! “We are pleased to announce the mighty Jacob Hansen (Heaven Shall Burn, Neaera, Maroon, Volbeat, Aborted, The Arcane Order, Hatesphere) will be mixing and mastering the album. And as you can see from the bracketed section, he has perfected the sound of a healthy amount of ridiculous bands! It’s going to sound fucking killer!”

Thrash Hits verdict
It’s been less than a year since Trigger The Bloodshed released The Great Depression, but the release of yet another album from one of the UK’s leading young death metal acts is more down to hard work than the fact they’ve cobbled together something half-arsed to put out.
The fact that Trigger The Bloodshed were one of only two British act to make the cover of Terrorizer last year (the other was Napalm Death, in case you were wondering) says a lot about the critical regard the band have generated. As one of the opening acts on the DevilDriver/Behemoth/Suicide Silence tour that skullfucked the UK late last year, as well as playing for the first time at Download Festival, Trigger managed to spread some much needed home-grown aggression across the country. For far too long the UK has looked to America or to Europe to satisfy its extreme metal needs, when we’ve got plenty of people doing a damn fine job here at home – we’re hoping their next album continues will keep Trigger bucking that trend.
