Thrash Hits

And the next five for Download Festival 2010 are…

…Lamb of God, 30 Seconds To Mars, Billy Idol, Stone Sour, and Five Finger Death Punch.

Goody, goody gumdrops. I think the diplomatic response to that is something along the lines of “well, at least there’s something for everyone”.

If we add to Dillinger Escape Plan to that line-up following the story we broke on Friday night that the NJ mathcore outfit will also be at Download Festival 2010, along with the fact that Steel Panther are almost certainly a shoe-in for a spot somewhere on the bill given comments made by Festival head honcho, Andy Copping, then the form of the UK’s longest running rock festival in 2010 is finally starting to take shape.

Since the announcement of Aerosmith and Rage Against The Machine as Main Stage headliners earlier tonight, it seems the internet has been bitching hard about Aerosmith – one of the biggest and most influential American Rock bands of all time – receiving a headline spot. We strongly suspect these people’s knowledge of the Toxic Twins’ output begins and ends with ‘Walk This Way’ and Wayne’s World 2.

Anyway, this latest announcement does at least give us an excuse to re-print this picture of Jared Leto looking like a prick. Apparently he played Mark Chapman in a movie once? Whatevs.

See? What a prick.
