Thrash Hits

We saw Devil Sold His Soul play their album launch party last night. It was good.

Occasionally one of those British bands who have been knocking around for a decade, showing all this promise and all that awesomeness finally does that thing. You know. They release an album that is every bit as good as their live shows. Devil Sold His Soul have literally just done that with Blessed And Cursed. (It came out yesterday). They did the honourable thing and played a launch show at Old Blue Last in London.

The last time we saw them was headlining the Thrash Hits stage at Offset Festival where the crowd broke the barriers and that tent was the hottest, sweatiest hellpit of doom. It was AWESOME.

Last night they played loads off the new record and Blessed And Cursed sounds pretty darned good live. DSHS also played enough old stuff to make sure the deluge of new material wasn’t too overpowering. Then it started raining.

You should buy this album. It’ll make your life a bit better. Also, it sounds great when it’s raining.
