Has Corey Taylor written the best Christmas song ever?

Ever a man for festivities, Tom Dare kicks off advent by listening to Corey Taylor’s brilliant new song for this special time of year. And Mayhem.

We love Christmas more than most Swedish death metal bands love their beards, and now Slipknot frontman, Corey Taylor, has given us yet another reason to talk about it. In case you think Corey might be going soft, rest assured that ‘X-M@$’ isn’t that kind of Christmas song – after all, it features such choice lyrics as “fa-la-la-la, go fuck yourself”. You can check the full song out after the jump.

‘X-M@$’ by Corey Taylor

Christmas is a time for family, for joy, and for drinking yourself into a stupor and blasting Mayhem’s De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas out at ridiculous volumes. Or maybe that’s just us here at Thrash Hits. Corey agrees with us on at least one point – his refrain of “if I ain’t drunk, then it ain’t Christmas” suggests as much. I’m going to have to disagree with him that “those coloured lights are fucking infantile” though. Fairy lights make me think of Fairyland, which is always a good thing.

‘X-M@$’ is being released on December 12, with all the proceeds being donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust. You now have no excuse not to buy this song. What do you think – is this the best Christmas song ever? Has it eclipsed Reuben’s mighty ‘Christmas Is Awesome’, or Dez Fafara’s timeless cover of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer? Let us know what you think down below.
