Thrash Hits presents… The Ghost of a Thousand @ London Old Blue Last – Friday, 07 January 2011

We are dead proud to announce that the inaugural (and probably last ever) Thrash Hits presents… gig will feature a headline set from The Ghost of a Thousand! Support comes from mighty West Country tyrants, Turbowolf and plucky Welshmen, Bastions but there’s definitely going to be one more. Ooh, the suspense.

We’ve loved this band since the moment we set ears on them. The Brightonians wooed us with their punk rock ‘n’ roll once and they’ve not disappointed us even one time since. Their 2009 album, New Hopes, New Demonstrations was our album of the year and we would’ve had them headline our show last Christmas but we didn’t have one!

Here’s another British hardcore band that we’ve loved since the start of their career. Blending Black Flag and Faith No More, we caught the bug for these Bristolians after seeing their awesome live show. That’s a pretty good reason to make sure some other people see them live. Right? Right! Plus they’ve got a new album coming soon. That’s pretty exciting.

This is a brand new band that we’ve been harping on about since February 2010. We thought we’d put our money where our stupid mouths are and stick ’em on at our gig. The fact that last time we went to see them their singer dislocated his shoulder within the first song probably doesn’t bode well for a full set. It does, however, bode well for chaos. We <3 chaos.

We’ve got a gig!
