ETA early 2011
What they’re saying:
A statement from the band in November said:
“All music [is] finished, only three more songs to finish vocals for now. Will hopefully be finished this week.”
And no, that doesn’t tell you very much. It’s Anaal Nathrakh, what more were you expecting?
Thrash Hits verdict:
Judging by the band’s development over the years, the new Anaal Nathrakh album won’t come out on CD but will be released on a brand new format solely constructed from the most hideous filth imaginable, and will not so much play as jump out of your speakers, beat you senseless and make you feel like the most despicable individual in history. With the occasional Emperor-esque soaring vocal passage that makes the whole experience survivable.
OK, we might be exaggerating a little bit, but every single record is more brutal, dirty and sonically offensive than the last. If Mick and Dave can turn in something more hideous than In The Constellation Of The Black Widow, it could be something truly special.
Guitar solo potential:
Can Anaal Nathrakh turn in something more putrid than this?:
