What they’re saying:
Wes Borland spoke to Guitar Edge magazine at the start of 2010:

I think that everyone who hated Limp Bizkit before will continue to hate Limp Bizkit. It’s definitely a fun party kinda vibe, it’s a little like the old stuff but with a Daft Punk vibe thrown in. It’s not like we all of a sudden grew up and started making smarter music. There’s big huge riffs and hopefully catchy lyrics, it’s still about halfway done so we’re waiting to see how the rest of it goes.

It’s been so long in the making (since summer 2009) that there’s a fully-fledged Wikipedia page with loads and loads of info that we can’t be bothered just cutting and pasting

Thrash Hits verdict:
Borland says it all. Limp Bizkit have not started making smarter music. Big riffs and catchy lyrics to do driving motions with your hands to. That’s what the godfathers of nu-metal are all about. We’ve always known it and we’ve always either loved or hated it. Saying, I wouldn’t listen to it at home, just doesn’t cut it. (They’re awesome.)

Guitar solo potential:
0/6
