ETA Spring 2011
What they’re saying:
We asked Xerath guitarist Owain Williams for the inside track on their second album (surprisingly titled II) and he told us:
“Xerath’s second album II is finished and waiting to be released. We promise it will destroy any preconceived notion that this album is anything other than the best thing the band has done to date . From a musical point of view it will push the boundaries of the UK metal scene, incorporating ludicrous rhythms, neck-breaking riffs and a gargantuan orchestral backdrop. All this whilst maintaining a truly crushing groove. We cannot wait for people to hear this.”
Thrash Hits verdict:
You know we love this band already. We’ve said it enough times, and we’ve said it explicitly. If this lives up to their promise to blow debut album I out of the polyrhytmic water, we may all drown on our own drool. And have the worst bangover since… well, the last time we saw them live.
