Of the bands featured in this fun-pokery, this is the first one that has been absolutely brand new. However, the south Wales pop-rockers have ignored every lesson and have surpassed every expectation with the new promo photo for their new album campaign. Bravo, chaps!
Kids In Glass Houses
From: South Wales
Actually from: A burlesque, rock ‘n’ roll, “Gentlemen Only” owl sanctuary
Age: Difficult mid-20s
LOL factor: 4/6 – one member ain’t buying it
A smirk to the left; a grimace up next; a genuine attempt to try and style it out from him in the middle; an uncomfortable shift like he’s having a difficult poo; and only Iain Mahanty looks genuinely pissed off that someone pinned a feather to his jacket. This is how Kids In Glass Houses line up to sell their new album, In Gold Blood.
Let’s take a closer look at their gentle giant of a drummer, Philip Jenkins. While he’s standing to the left of his dashing singer, Aled Phillips – who looks perfectly at home in Richie Sambora’s leather jacket and half the remains of a bird of prey adorning his shoulders – Mr Jenkins appears to have eaten Bat For Lashes and kept her hipster hippie American Apparel headband for himself.
In Gold Blood will be released on 15 August 2011 via Roadrunner Records and Kids In Glass Houses will be going on tour across the UK this autumn.
