It was unfortunate for Skunk Anansie that they took to the main stage at Download Festival 2011 soon after Phil Anselmo and the boys in Down had vacated it – if ever there were two bands lacing in fan-crossover, it was these too. Still, Skin’s voice (and her plumage) certainly won over the Donington Crowd.
