Prog metal supremos, TesseracT have announced their first ever headline tour of the UK this September and they’ll be taking prog metallers, Chimp Spanner and prog metallers, Uneven Structure on tour with them. Did someone say “prog metal”? Oh.
This is good news because a) TesseracT are awesome and b) they might play a lot more of their wicked debut album, One. That would be a very good thing. The fact the tour is sponsored by the good people from Scuzz TV and Prog magazine is also nice. There’s a real feeling that this band can go really far so the more help they get, the better.
And what’s this? Our resident Tesseract guitarist and columnist, James Monteith on the phone? What does he have to say about his band’s first ever UK headline tour?
“I cant tell you how excited I am about our first headline tour of the UK! It feels like we’ve played everywhere but our home turf in recent times so this is well over due, and I can’t wait to chow down on the readily available great British food – kebabs and curries – post-show. I’ve really missed that. And what about the line up? Chimp Spanner are one of my favourite bands at the minute so watching them every night is a bit of a treat, and Uneven Structure are awesome too. It’s going to be good. Oh yes.”
