….or should that read “featuring Frank Carter from Pure Love”? After all, the Gallows show in London tonight marks Carter’s final show as the band’s frontman. Earlier this month Carter announced his intention to leave Gallows to pursue his new project, Pure Love, with an as-yet unnamed replacement taking his place in his former bad. In either case, this new track from Bastions absolutely fucking slays.

You’ll have to go over to Bastions’ Facebook page to hear the new track featuring Carter, titled ‘The Lengths (When Wants Become Needs)’. Frank not only contributes his trademark acid-gurgle screams to the track, but the rather more rare occurrence of some Frank Carter clean-singing as well. The track is taken from Bastions’ forthcoming debut album, the long-awaited Hospital Corners, which is currently tentatively scheduled for an Autumn release.

Frank isn’t the first member of Gallows that’s recognised how damn good Bastions are either – Stu Gili-Ross, Gallows’ bassist, signed the band up to his SGR Management company last year, and the Gallows have taken the Welsh four-piece along as a support act on a number of their more recent UK tours. What can we say – the guys have got good taste.
