Wow. We’ve heard 30-second and 90-second snippets already, but now an entire song from the Lou Reed / Metallica collaboration (aka Loutallica) has made its way online. And…well….it’s something all right.

Sometimes you just have to stop dancing about architecture and let the music do the talking. Or, in the case of Loutallica, let Lou Reed do the talking. And talking is very much what ‘The View’ is about:

The View by Lou Reed & Metallica

Lulu, the album collaboration between Lou Reed and Metallica, is released on 31 October, and looks set to be the most controversial release by Metallica since St. Anger in 2003. And for that reason – although hopefully not that reason alone – the sh*tstirrers among us cannot wait for Halloween.

Wow – lame riffs, non-sensical rambling from Lou Reed, and no melody whatsoever.  Makes me long for St. Anger, which up until this point was only one of the worst CD’s ever made.  If the rest of Lulu is as bad as the View, it will be yet another career low for Metallica.
