Yeah, this gig happened almost a month ago but whatever. The important thing is that the Californian hardcore phenomenon are back in the UK right now with Enter Shikari so you may as well read about why you need to go and see them.

Six reasons why you need to watch letlive. live in the UK:

1) You just don’t know what Jason Butler is going to do but you know he’s going to do something. The first time it was a backflip off a wooden pole in Austin, Texas. Another time he rampaged through the Download Festival 2011 crowd only to be stopped by security. This time he jumped out of the crawlspace above the stage. Expect the unexpected.

2) Everyone else in the know is right there. It’s boiling in the Fighting Cocks tonight and it is also rammed. letlive. only played their first UK show in February 2011. There’s a reason that they’re the buzz band du jour.

3) Some people have said that letlive. are the hardcore equivalent of Steel Panther so polished is their live show but don’t confuse being awesome for being contrived. This band is 100 per cent awesome. Make no mistake.

4) They can turn it on no matter how big the stage is. This is a tiny venue and theycan barely fit on stage, hence Butler’s regular appearances clambering over, in the midst of or flying over the crowd but their finest performance of the year was probably at Download Festival 2011. Big stage, big performance, big band.

5) It doesn’t even matter if it sounds terrible. It could be perceived as a negative that the quality of a band’s show can outweigh a rubbish PA but letlive. are living proof. This band will blow you away.

6) The songs are definitely good enough. They only play songs off Fake History – their third album – and even with the crap sound, the words of every sound were sung back. You’ll sing along as well.
