The airline for which Bruce Dickinson, is Marketing Director and a pilot for has gone into administration. The Iron Maiden frontman has said that he has already started on plans to resurrect Crawley-based Astraeus, or at least “create a new business with new jobs for my friends and former colleagues”. The company went bust after “lower than expected” summer business. Dickinson captained the airline’s final flight from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In not completely unrelated ‘Iron Maiden in the air’ news, an excellent book compiled by official Maiden photographer, John McMurtrie, On Board Flight 666 is out now.
