London-based thrashers, Savage Messiah, gave everyone an early Christmas present when they gave away their new album, Plague of Conscience, for free last month. But why do they want for Christmas? We caught up with their lead guitarist/singer , Dave Silver (he’s second from the right) to find out.

What is your favourite Christmas song?
Christmas with Nat and Dean! All the classics

What is your favourite Christmas movie?
The original It’s A Wonderful Life.

What is the most metal Christmas present you’ve either given or received?
I come from a metal-loving family so every year there’s something metal! But probably received would be the Iron Maiden Eddie’s Archive box set, given? Maybe Heaven & Hell’s double DVD, Live from Radio City Music Hall

What is your best memory of 2011?
Completing Plague of Conscience after putting so much into making the record!

I actually don’t have one…is that bad?

What will your New Year Resolution be?
Don’t make them! But my general resolution in life is to try and be a good person, create good Karma and just enjoy life for what it is.

If all those mad prophecies about 2012 being the end of the world comes true, how do you want the apocalypse to manifest itself?
The significance of 21/12/2012 is rooted in an astrological allegory pertaining to the figurative passing of the earth from the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius. It is predicted that at the death of the age of the 5th sun (the current age) we will enter the new age of peace, whilst others have predicted the Age of Aquarius to be one of evil and chaos. Bible scholars believe in the “end of the world” based on a mis-translation in the King James Bible (look it up). If an “apocalypse” manifests, it will be in the form of an oblivious, malnutritioned, indoctrinated, state dependant population under constant surveillance eternally divorced from its true bond with nature forever…HAPPY CHRISTMAS !!!!!

What role would you take in a nativity play?
I’d be the narrator…I was always the narrator at first school…or one of the 3 wise men.

2011 has been a year of revolution and upheaval – what do you think will happen in 2012?
I’ve seen no revolution. In 2012 the globalist agenda will continue in its fight to move towards one world government and global economic unity (a very bad thing) whilst the apathetic population will continue to worry about eastenders and the normal vacuous pursuits of day to day life. The global financial situation will continue to get quite deliberately worse and the people will blindly turn to their governments to solve the problems that it created and the solutions will always infringe on civil liberties and nothing will change for the better. But you know, gotta stay positive!

Who is the ugliest person you’ve kissed under the mistletoe?
No-one!

What do you think of Lulu?
‘Shout’ was a great song, but her career really petered out after that.
