Bruce Dickinson WTF Thrash Hits

Look, there’s absolutely no point in us writing anything here, as you’re just going to go watch the video right away, aren’t you?

This isn’t some kind of shocking new sensational footage, in case you were wondering. It’s just something we stumbled across thanks to the wonders of YouTube. Now that we’ve burst your bubble slightly, let’s hear Bruce tell us his anecdote.

Watch Bruce Dickinson recall the time he asked a prostitute for his money back after an aborted handjob:

The interview with Bruce has been lifted from the 2009 documentary series, Monty Python: Almost The Truth (Lawyer’s Cut), where Dickinson was interviewed about the influence of Monty Python on his life. If you’ve watched the anecdote above, well, the extent of that influence and how it relates to the one and only time the Iron Maiden frontman sought out professional hand-relief should be pretty clear to you by now.

This isn’t Iron Maiden’s only connection with Monty Python. Not only do they occasionally pipe Monty Python’s ‘Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life’ over the PA after their gigs have finished, but Iron Maiden’s video from ‘Can I Play With Madness’ famously features one of the final on-screen performance from Monty Python’s Graham Chapman before his death from cancer in 1989.

Watch the video to ‘Can I Play With Madness’ by Iron Maiden:

We’re gonna break out our Monty Python boxset later. Or perhaps just the Maiden back catalogue. Maybe even both.
