Thoe UK leading thrash revivalists, Evile, are playing a charity show in London down at the Old Blue Last on Tuesday next week. It’s free entry, but since it’s a charity show, they’ll be taking donations on the door for the British Lung Foundation. That seems entirely reasonable to us – after all, what kind of prick goes to a free charity show and moans about making a donation on the door? That’s right, no-one, that’s who.
Support at the show will be provided by Evile’s labelmates and fellow modern thrashers, Savage Messiah. So even if we weren’t advising you to get down early to guarantee yourself entry to this free charity gig, we’d be advising you to get down there early because we think Savage Messiah’s last album is a bit of a ripper.
All the proceeds from the show will go towards the British Lung Foundation. It’s a charity that’s very close to the heart of Evile, given that the band’s former bassist and founder member, Mike Alexander, died as a result of a blood clot in the lungs while the band was on tour in Sweden back in 2009.

This isn’t the only live show in Evile’s immediate calendar either. In addition to playing on the Sunday of this year’s Bloodstock Open Air, the band will be back out on the road in October, taking Swedish metallers Wolf along as support. Check the dates:
