Hevy Festival have added another 24 bands to their 2012 bill, including the winners of this year’s Redbull Bedroom Jam competition. They’ve also announced the provisional day splits for the bands they’ve announced so far, which give an indication of how many more bands the festival plans on announcing before it all kicks off at the start of August.
The bands in question are Hundred Reasons (performing Ideas Above Our Station in full), Ignite, 7 Seconds, Lower Than Atlantis, Vinnie Caruana (playing an acoustic set of I Am The Avalanche & The Movielife songs), Bury Tomorrow, Suis La Lune, Lewd Acts, Worms Feed, Pacer, Martyr Defiled, The Smoking Hearts, Landscapes, The Long Haul, Our Time Down Here and Gnarwolves. The Red Bull Bedroom Jam winners are Dead Harts, Golden Tanks, Adelaide, Strangle Kojak, I Divide, Reachback, Mechanical Smile, and The Jellycats.
You can check out the day splits over on the official Hevy Festival website. As you can see, there are still a number of spaces in the line-up yet to be filled, and Hevy’s careful (and deliberate) positioning of the spaces indicates there’s at least one stage headliner still to be confirmed.
Hevy is once again taking place at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, and this year it falls on the weekend of 03-06 August 2012. Tickets for Hevy are on sale now from the official Hevy website for £96 (plus fees). We’ll be there, annoying Andrew W.K. and throwing the fuck down to Converge and Meshuggah, as should you too, if you’ve got any sense.
