About five minutes after Gary Wolstenholme emailed us his incredible photos from the Sheffield show of Baroness’ recent UK tour, we got the news that the band had been involved in a horrific bus crash just outside of Bath. And we were torn. We really wanted to show these incredible shots off to the world, but at the same time we didn’t want to seem ghoulish and trying to capitalise on the publicity of the tragedy. Well, since the band are now all safely out of hospital – and given that all of the band’s tour dates for the rest of 2012 have been cancelled – we figured now was the time for us to show you these awesome shots in all their awesome glory.
Yeah, we used “awesome” twice in one sentence. Baroness are that kind of band.
In support were Naisian and Bleaklow, but since we figured you’re only really here for the Baroness photos, we’ve only got a few photos of them. Yeah, I’m sure it sucks if one of those bands has your son in them and it was your dream that they’d one day be featured on a website as highbrow as Thrash Hits, but hey, we don’t always get what we want.

Baroness’s new album, Yellow & Green, is out now on Relapse Records. This is why you should go buy it.
They might’ve left hospital now, but we’re re-posting this photo as it makes us want to punch the air in delight at how happy they all look.
