The sandwich is possibly the greatest food-based invention. They allow us to eat and post on Facebook at the same time and absolutely anybody can eat them. Vegetarian? Put some more salad in. Belly doesn’t like wheat? Use gluten-free bread then! And everybody has a favourite sandwich. Even bands…
The Offspring are just about to head over to Australia to play the mighty Soundwave Festival. It’s a fair shout that the Californian punk rockers will feel right at home in the weather, eating off the grill non-stop, no doubt, but we caught up with guitarist, Noodles to talk about sandwiches
Hello there, Noodles of The Offspring. Tell us all about your favourite sandwich.
“Probably a tuna melt… Actually, wait. Fuck that! A cheeseburger, come on! That’s a sandwich. There’s an In-N-Out right by where I live and it’s great, especially on a hangover day. A good, greasy cheeseburger from In-N-Out – nothing can beat it. They’re actually pretty good. They use all fresh stuff and pay their employees really well. It’s a pretty legit operation. It costs the world and more but it cures the hangover and it tastes as good as any burger you’re likely to find.”
Metal rating? 6/6 because it’s a delicious fucking cheeseburger. Mmmmmm. YUMMY.
