Matt Bierbaum, a graduate Physics student from Cornell University, has made a moshpit simulation based on data collected in a genuine universiy paper about moshing. It’s called Collective Motion of Moshers at Heavy Metal Concerts and the simulation can be found here.
Brilliantly, the simulation allows the user to change the conditions of the pit, thus changing the constitution of the mosh. It’s very cool.
If you ever had any doubt, stay in school, kids. If you do, you might have the opportunity to do something this awesome.
