Tech-Fest is returning to the UK for 2013, and blimey, they’ve gone and announced 25 bands as part of their first announcement.
Heading up the line-up are three of headliners for the four-day (four-day!) festival – Scar Symmetry, Veil of Maya, and the band of which our very own James Monteith is a member, TesseracT. Technically Monuments are headlining the Thursday night, but that’s kind of a half-day anyway, so we guess they don’t get full headliner props.
Skyharbour will play their first ever show at the festival (and exclusively, to boot), where they will be joined by Heart of a Coward, Sybreed, Aliases, Uneven Structure (another exclusive for Tech-Fest), Chimp Spanner, The Algorithm, Disperse, Destiny Potato (really? C’MON GUYS), Xerath, Cilce, Eryn Non Dae (YES!), Dyscarnate, Neosis, Syqem, Nexilva, Drewsif Starin, Cold Night For Alligators, Kartikeya, Above The Earth and Joncofy. Thank God for cut’n’paste’able press releases.
Tickets are on sale now via the official Tech-Fest website, where they’ll set you back just £60 for a weekend ticket (not including fees, camping, and all that stuff). As you can see from the image up above, this year the festival runs from July 11-15 at The Plough in Peterborough, home of such events as The Curious Yellow Weekender and The Spitfire Ball. Bloody hell, provincial England – you are peculiar at times.
