With the August Bank Holiday weekend rapidly approaching, Reading & Leeds Festivals are once again upon us. As with every year, Reading & Leeds have a bit fat dollop of heaviness in among the landfill indie, so for this week’s Sunday Slaylist we’ve put together a Spotify playlist of the hardest and heaviest from their 2013 line-ups.
We’ve cast our net wide when it came to deciding what to put in this week’s Slaylist – if the band is playing Reading & Leeds, and they conceivably get covered on Thrash Hits in some capacity, then they get in our Slaylist. Like the festivals themselves, we’re letting our critical judgement play second fiddle to our desire to encompass every aspect of rock when it comes to putting together our final list.
Spotify is available to most of Europe, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and a load of other countries for free – though obviously you’re better off shelling out either £5 or £10 a month for one of Spotify’s premium packages, as then you can listen to our Slaylists without having them interrupted by adverts. For our readers in countries not currently serviced by Spotify….well, there are still some tickets for Leeds Festival available (at the time of writing). You can come watch these bands for real!
