We’re sponsoring Valient Himself’s Rocknowledgy for the next 12 months

About 18 months ago we posted about Valient Himself’s Rocknowledgy – the quite frankly brilliant music podcast from the Valient Thorr frontman. Rocknowledgy is a (now) monthly show where Valient Himself takes a John Peel-esque approach to music, playing music from across the spectrum – you’re as likely to hear old soul jams on an episode as you are hardcore punk. We bloody love it – and that’s why we’re sponsoring Rocknowledgy for the next 12 months.

Because Valient Thorr are off on the road so much, Valient Himself will quite often get some special guests from whoever the band is on tour with for interviews and song suggestions, and the interviews between musicians are often a hundred times more insightful than anything you”d get from a regular journalist.

This month’s episode is dedicated to Himself’s father, who passed away shortly before he recorded the episode. As a tribute, all of the songs on this episode are tracks that Himself and his father had some history with, to which he has very kindly decided to share with his audience.
