It’d be fair to say that 2013 is probably a year that Randy Blythe from Lamb of God would like to forget, having spent much of it dealing with his trial and subsequent acquittal for manslaughter of Czech fan of his band, Daniel Nosek. They’ve certainly not wasted any time getting their 2014 off to a running start, hitting Europe for a 14-date extension to their long-running Resolution tour. We sent Gobinder Jhitta down to Birmingham to catch Randy and co.

Playing in support to Lamb of God were the cream of Polish death metal, Decapitated, and the USA’s latest throwback to old skool metal (with an added dash of occultism to boot), Huntress. Gobinder got some shots of them too because he’s a consummate professional.

If you live near Bristol or Norwich, you’ve still got a chance to catch this tour tonight and tomorrow night respectively. Lamb of God have just released a ten year anniversary re-release of As The Palaces Burn, and next month will release a documentary of the same name, focussing on the band’s previous world tour, as well as Randy Blythe’s arrest, trial, and subsequent acquittal for manslaughter in the Czech Republic. Your average tour video it ain’t.
