Valient Himself’s Rocknowledgy, the superb (and Thrash Hits-sponsored music podcast from the Valient Thorr frontman, has published a new episode. It’s pretty damn special too, as Valient Himself has Mastodon’s Brent Hinds on as a very special guest.
Valient Himself went in to the studio with Hinds to record backing vocals for as-yet-unnamed tracks on Mastodon’s as-yet-unnamed new album. That in itself is exciting news – as are the other little tidbits of information that Hinds gives out during the course of the podcast, where he talks about and plays tracks by the musicians who’ve influenced him, those he most admires, as well as a few by his friends. It’s a killer episode, and if you’ve not listened to Rocknowledgy before, this is a great place to start.
