Sunday Slaylist: episode 43 of Valient Himself’s Rocknowledgy podcast

Valient Himself 2013 Thrash Hits

Valient Himself’s Rocknowledgy returned this week with its 43rd episode – if you’re not on board with the superb (and Thrash Hits-sponsored) music podcast from the Valient Thorr frontman, then this Sunday is as good as ever to dive right in.

Since the last episode of Rocknowledgy, both Gwar’s Dave Brockie and Scott Asheton from The Stooges have passed away, and he pays tribute to both of them in this episode, spinning a classic Gwar track in memory of Brockie, and playing a track by Sonic’s Rendezvous Band – one of the less well-known projects Asheton drummed on (at least compared to The Stooges). That’s in addition to the usual eclectic standards of the Rocknowledgy playlist – which this time includes some cuts from some of the non-Valient Thorr projects that Himself has found himself working on of late.
