That’s the Thrash Hits FC team photo taken on Sunday afternoon at the annual BSM 5-a-side football tournament. The important thing is that despite not winning, we definitely didn’t come last.
Anyway, the point is that the Raz-shaped half of the Thrash Hits editorial team loves football. It’s the glue that holds much of British society together, after all and the ubiquitous love often manifests itself on the internet in the form of Fantasy Football. So we made a league. It’s called Serie ARGH.
Along with Raz, we’ve got nine other metalheads from around the world to join in and butt heads as they bid to be the best imaginary football managers in the world. Yes, it’s a game but metallers can have fun and interests other than Slayer, y’know.
Raziq Rauf (Thrash Hits) – Battery Sagna
James Spence (Rolo Tomassi) – Vasco De Tomassi
Derya Nagle (The Safety Fire) – FC Lot of Skills
Scott Middleton (Cancer Bats) – Scoeb City FC
Lee Barratt (Gallows) – Desolation Sounds XI
Adam Graham (FACT) – The Napoleon Solos
Matt Kean (Bring Me The Horizon) – fritzl palace
CJ McMahon (Thy Art Is Murder) – Evil Soul
Alex Leat (Human Future) – Shartford Town
Simon Grubb (Hang The Bastard) – Grubb Town FC
We’ll be bringing you the key head-to-head match, all the trash talking and free promo that the bands involved can fit into a couple of sentences as often as we can be bothered. It’ll be a mixture of fun and rubbish, but you’re used to that.
There is still space for more bands – if you’re reading this, bands – but act fast. We’re kicking off this weekend. A week late, as usual, but only one week. Here’s another great photo of Thrash Hits FC from the BSM 5-a-side tournament.
