Sunday Slaylist: Live Evil 2014

Live Evil 2014 Thrash Hits

October is a good month. Not only are there about a bazillion brilliant records released now the Summer release slump has ended, but it’s when the big guns of  Autumn/Winter indoor festival/all-dayer scene let loose. Among our favourites: London’s very own Live Evil Festival.

When Live Evil began, it booked its line-up solely from bands that had been featured in Fenriz’s Band Of The Week blog, but for obvious reasons a festival line-up eats up a lot of bands very quickly indeed, and as Live Evil is a small, independent, dedicated festival then the number of bands that Fenriz picked who were going to stay as viable bookings means Live Evil has had to diversify from their original template. Thankfully, promoters Marek Steven and Oscar Tuttiett know their shit inside-out when it comes to Live Evil’s corner of metal, and this year’s line-up (and therefore this week’s Slaylist) are as potent as ever.

Spotify is available to most of Europe, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and a load of other countries for free – though obviously you’re better off shelling out £10 a month for Spotify’s Premium package, as then you can listen to our Slaylists without having them interrupted by adverts. For our readers in countries not currently serviced by Spotify…there are still handful of tickets available for Live Evil 2014 if you want to check out this line-up in person.
