If You Buy One Thing This Week: pre-order the new album from The Armed

We have waited six, long, hard years for a new full length album from The Armed. They are, in our humble opinion, one of the best damn messed-up math/punk/stupid genre-tag-du-jour-core bands in the world today. Sure, they’ve released a nearly-yearly update with their EPs, but as much as we love Common Enemies, Young & Beautiful, Spreading Joy, and their split with Tharsis They, we were always left desperate for more. For over half a damn decade, we’ve been desperate for more.

This week the band announced that long wait was finally over by confirming that the follow-up to 2009’s These Are Lights is coming out on 23 June 2015.

We emailed one of our sources within the band and asked them what the album is called. They said it has no title. Don’t believe what you read elsewhere: they confirmed to us that the new album from The Armed is NOT called Untitled. It simply has no title. It needs no title. It is a record by The Armed. If you’re quick, you can pre-order it on vinyl now and get a super-limited-edition shirt with the beyond-peculiar album art on. Do it. That’s what we did. Or you can wait until 23 June, when the band will – as always – offer the entire album up as a free download. Because they’re The Armed, and that’s just what they do.

If you still need convincing, check out the video to ‘Forever Scum, which in just over two minutes should demonstrate just how pathetic and weak all those shitty albums that crappy mainstream publications are telling you that you ought to be excited about really are:
