Originally formed in Portland, Oregon as a side project of It Prevails in 2006, American Me ended up going full time to pursue a heavier endeavor. Since getting signed to Rise Records, the band has released 3 full length albums, the most recent of which being ( III ) and 1 EP, . American Me has toured the US since 2007-present, as well as Japan in early 2011. They broke up in the end of 2014.

Hevy 2013 cancelled Thrash Hits

This weekend would’ve been the fifth Hevy Festival…but as you no doubt know by now, the festival was forced to cancel their event this year. They tried to schedule a replacement all-dayer at the Brixton Academy here in London, featuring some of the biggest bands on this year’s (cancelled) bill…but as you also know by now, they had to cancel that too.

It’s not been the best year for Hevy Festival, truth be told.
